Citron Cadeau Terms of Sale
Effective date: October 28, 2026
These Terms of Sale ("Terms") apply to every purchase made on citroncadeau.com (the "Site"). The Site is operated by Citron Cadeau LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Citron Cadeau," "we," "us," or "our"). By placing an order, you agree to these Terms, to our Delivery & Returns policy at citroncadeau.com/delivery/ (the "Delivery & Returns Policy"), and to our Privacy Policy at citroncadeau.com/privacy/. Please read them before you order.
The Delivery & Returns Policy forms part of these Terms. On any matter of shipping, delivery, returns, exchanges, refunds, or items that arrive damaged, wrong, or missing, the Delivery & Returns Policy governs. If anything in these Terms appears to differ from it on those matters, the Delivery & Returns Policy controls.
1. Who may order
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to place an order. Orders are accepted for delivery to addresses in the United States only, as described in the Delivery & Returns Policy.
2. Orders and acceptance
Your order is an offer to purchase the boxes in your bag. An order is accepted when we confirm it. We show a confirmation at the end of checkout and send an order confirmation to the email address you give us. If your box is delayed, we will tell you as described in section 2A.
We may decline or cancel any order, or limit quantities, at our discretion, including where a box is no longer available, where there is an error in price or description, where we suspect fraud or unauthorized use of a payment method, or where we cannot verify the information provided. If we cancel an order after you have been charged, we will refund the amount charged to your original payment method.
2A. Cancellations and delays
Within 24 hours. You may cancel an order by writing to us at concierge@citroncadeau.com within 24 hours of placing it. We will refund the full amount to your original payment method.
After 24 hours. After 24 hours we begin sourcing the pieces in your box from their makers, and an order can no longer be cancelled, except as set out below.
If we cannot ship on time. Most orders arrive within 7 days of the order in the contiguous United States, as the Delivery & Returns Policy explains. If we cannot ship your order within that time, we will write to you before it passes with a revised shipping date, and you may choose to wait or to cancel for a full refund. If the delay is 30 days or less and you do not reply, we will take it that you are happy to wait. For a longer delay, we will ship only if you tell us you are happy to wait, and otherwise we will cancel and refund you in full. Refunds for card payments are issued within 7 working days. This follows the FTC Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 435) and does not limit your rights under it.
Changes. To change a recipient's address or a gift note, write to us as soon as possible. We will make the change if your box has not yet left us, but we cannot guarantee it.
3. Products and availability
Each box is a curated set of items from independent makers. Each item arrives in its maker's original packaging, with its labels intact, as described in the Delivery & Returns Policy. We describe and photograph each box as accurately as we can, but colors, finishes, and packaging may vary slightly from what appears on screen, and makers may update their packaging from time to time.
Boxes are offered while available. A box is held for you only once checkout begins and is confirmed only when payment is complete.
If an item in a box becomes unavailable after you order, we may replace it with an item of equal or greater value and similar character. If we cannot, we will write to you before your order ships.
Some boxes contain food and confections. Please check the contents and the makers' labels for allergens and ingredients before giving or enjoying a box, as the Delivery & Returns Policy notes.
Some boxes contain chocolate and other confections that are sensitive to heat. In warm weather we may pack them with cooling materials or hold a box for a short time so that it does not sit in transit in extreme heat, as the Delivery & Returns Policy describes.
4. Prices, promotions, and taxes
All prices are in US dollars. Prices are shown on the Site and confirmed at checkout. Prices may change at any time, but a change will not affect an order we have already accepted.
From time to time we may offer a box at a sale price for a limited period, or offer a promotional code. A promotional code is valid only on the terms stated when it is issued, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be withdrawn at any time. Only one code may be applied to an order unless we state otherwise.
If a box is listed at an incorrect price because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, or contact you to ask whether you would like to proceed at the correct price.
Delivery within the United States is included in the price of every box, except to Alaska and Hawaii. Orders to Alaska and Hawaii are made by request at checkout. We will write to you with the delivery charge, and the order is confirmed only once you accept it and payment is complete. Where applicable, sales tax is calculated at checkout based on the delivery address and shown before you pay.
5. Payment
Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. through Stripe Checkout. You may pay with the payment methods shown at checkout, which may include cards and wallet payments offered through Stripe. Your payment details are entered directly with Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number. By submitting payment, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method, and you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge the full order total. Your use of Stripe is also subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy.
6. Gift orders
You may send a box to yourself or to someone else.
Recipient details. When you send a gift, you are responsible for giving us the recipient's correct name and complete delivery address. As the Delivery & Returns Policy explains, if the address given at checkout was wrong, we cannot send a replacement, and any rerouting fees are yours to cover. By giving us a recipient's details, you confirm that you are entitled to share them with us so that we can deliver the gift.
Gift messages. You may include a note in your own words, up to 100 words. We print it and place it inside the box. You are responsible for the content of your note. We may decline to include, or may edit to remove, any note we consider unlawful, offensive, or harmful, or that includes another person's private information, and in that case we may send the box without it. We do not review notes for accuracy.
Pricing and the recipient. Nothing in the box shows a price. Your receipt is sent to you by email.
Claims on gift orders. The order belongs to the purchaser. Either the purchaser or the recipient may report a box that arrived damaged, wrong, or missing, or did not arrive, as set out in the Delivery & Returns Policy. Any refund is made to the purchaser's original payment method.
7. Shipping, title, and risk of loss
Shipping areas, delivery estimates, and what happens if a box is delayed, lost, or shows as delivered but is not received are set out in the Delivery & Returns Policy. Delivery times are estimates and not guarantees, and we cannot set a delivery date.
Title to the boxes passes to you when we hand your order to the carrier. Risk of loss remains with us until the order is delivered to the address given at checkout, and we will handle loss in transit as the Delivery & Returns Policy describes.
8. Returns, refunds, and damaged items
Every box is final sale. Returns, exchanges, damaged, wrong, or missing items, refunds, and store credit are governed by the Delivery & Returns Policy, including its reporting deadlines and the photographs it asks for. In short: write to us at concierge@citroncadeau.com within 48 hours of delivery, with photos. Either the purchaser or the recipient may write. We will decide whether to replace the item or refund it to the original payment method, and we will offer store credit instead if you ask. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under applicable law that cannot be waived.
9. Corporate orders
Companies may send an inquiry through the corporate gifts form on the Site. An inquiry is not an order. Corporate orders are confirmed only by a written proposal from us that you accept. The accepted proposal governs that order, including quantities, prices, delivery arrangements, timing, payment, deposit, and cancellation terms. If the accepted proposal differs from these Terms, the proposal controls for that order. In all other respects these Terms apply.
If you send us a logo, you confirm that you own it or are authorized to use it, and you give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to use it only to prepare and fulfil your order. If you send us a list of recipients, you confirm that you are entitled to share those names and addresses with us for delivery of your gifts.
If you tell us your company is exempt from sales tax, you must provide a valid exemption certificate before we can treat the order as exempt.
10. Accounts and sign-in
You may sign in with a single-use link sent to your email address, which lets you view your gifts and orders. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and work once. We may suspend or end access to an account where we suspect misuse.
11. Intellectual property
The Site and everything on it, including the Citron Cadeau name and mark, text, photography, film, design, and the selection and arrangement of the boxes, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the Site only for personal, non-commercial shopping. You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, or reuse any part of it without our written permission. Product names and brands of the makers whose items appear in our boxes belong to their respective owners, and their appearance does not imply endorsement of Citron Cadeau.
Citron Cadeau is an independent retailer. Brand names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe the items inside. Citron Cadeau is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any brand named.
12. Use of the Site
You agree not to use the Site for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with its operation or security, to submit false or misleading information, or to place orders for resale without our written agreement.
13. Warranty disclaimer
Items in our boxes are made by independent makers, and any warranty on an item is the maker's, not ours. Except as set out in the Delivery & Returns Policy and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and all boxes are provided "as is" and "as available," and we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to the Site, these Terms, or any order. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Some states do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any third-party claim arising from your breach of these Terms, from the content of a gift note you provide, or from recipient information, logos, or other materials you provide to us without the right to do so.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and by applicable federal law.
17. Dispute resolution
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to go to court and to take part in a class action.
Informal resolution first. If you have a concern, please write to us first at concierge@citroncadeau.com. Before either of us starts an arbitration or a small claims case, the party raising the dispute must send a written notice describing it and the relief sought, and we will each try in good faith to resolve it for 60 days after the notice is received.
Individual arbitration. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms, the Site, or any order that is not resolved informally will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, which are available at adr.org. Fees are allocated as those rules provide. The arbitration may take place by video, by telephone, or on written submissions where the rules permit, or in person in the county where you live. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.
Small claims. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court, if it qualifies.
Class-action waiver. Claims may be brought only on an individual basis. Neither you nor we may bring or take part in a class, collective, or representative proceeding, and the arbitrator may not combine claims of more than one person or award relief to anyone other than the individual party.
Opting out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by writing to concierge@citroncadeau.com within 30 days of your first order, with your name, the email address used for the order, and a clear statement that you are opting out. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
Courts. Any matter that is not subject to arbitration, including a claim by a person who has opted out, will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Manatee County, Florida, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, except for claims brought in small claims court.
18. Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier disruption, severe weather, natural disaster, labor action, supplier shortage, or government action. Where such an event affects your order, we will handle it as the Delivery & Returns Policy describes. If it delays shipping beyond the time we have stated, section 2A applies, including your right to cancel for a full refund.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order. We will post the updated Terms on the Site with a new effective date.
20. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. These Terms, the Delivery & Returns Policy, the Privacy Policy, and any accepted corporate proposal are the entire agreement between you and us about your order.
